Help Us Do More

The mission for the Haskell Township Library is to foster community engagement and education, increase growth and literacy, and inspire a love of learning. We want to connect all people, encourage a community of learners and prepare for a future of inspiration and innovation.

By donating to Haskell Township Library today, you could help contribute to yours and/or someone else’s love of learning. It is very important that adults and children spend some time reading every day. Some statistics to share:

  • People aged 15-44 in the US spend 10 minutes or less per day reading. (Bureau of Labor Statistics)
  • In terms of literacy rate, the USA ranks 125th out of 194 nations. (World Atlas)

  • Reading facts and statistics show that teenagers who read in their leisure time know 26% more words than those who don’t. (ESRC)
  • Reading increases emotional intelligence, and consequently, your career outlooks. (CNBC)

Of course, your contribution to Haskell Township Library goes to helping keep our books and other materials up-to-date, but it isn't just about reading. Your donation would also allow us to be creative with our programming by adding more for all ages and continue to provide most of our programming for free for our community.
